Sunday Blue Springs Weather Forecast

Here is the latest Blue Springs weather and forecast. Good morning. The weather for Blue Springs Saturday snow did not happen like it was discussed on my previous post. Enjoy the sunshine. We will shift to an overcast starting at 1 pm. Winds will be a little calmer today. We will have a peak wind gust at 18 miles per hour by 10 am.

We are not expecting any precipitation at this time. The temperature will hit a high of 45° F.

There’s not a whole lot going on today. Enjoy your Sunday! MP

Sunday Forecast and Significant Amount of Sunspots for November 26, 2023

Good morning. Here is the Sunday Forecast, but first, the measurements and current weather. I am ready for the summer now—enough of this white stuff. I walked out to get the Stratus and get measurements. We ended with 2.4 inches of snow with a liquid equivalent of .27 inches. That makes the ratio 8.9 inches of snow to 1 inch of liquid. The Weather Prediction Center (WPC) was off by about an inch. God said, “Here is a little more to grow on.” He is in control. The WPC is still a more accurate source than the snow amounts for others.

The current temperature is 25° F. Skies are mostly cloudy, and winds are three miles per hour out of the northwest. The relative humidity is at 92%. The barometric pressure is at 29.83 inches of mercury. The radar is pretty clear, and the atmosphere is pretty dry now.

Here is the Sunday Forecast for today. We will hit a high of 36° F, give or take, by 3 pm. It will be a bit breezy today, with wind gusts peaking at about 27-28 miles per hour by noon today. Winds should begin to calm down at about 6 pm tonight.

Lots of activity on the sun’s surface. There are still lots of sunspots. The sun is trying to hold on to that solar maximum before it goes back to sleep and becomes dormant again.

That is all I have to talk about today. Take care. MP

Sunday Weather Forecast – November 19, 2023

Good morning everyone. We will get to the Sunday weather forecast shortly. I woke up this morning to view the security cameras, and we had a nice-sized buck pass through the neighborhood. I am pretty sure it was lost. It likely showed up due to it being hunting season. It was right about 4 am when it showed up.

I spent Saturday cleaning out the leaf-infested gutters and unclogging the downspouts. Did not take long at all. I’m almost done with the leaves on my property. I spent several hours cleaning up the pine needles from the large tree next door. I’m not too fond of pine trees. Their needles destroy ground nutrients if you don’t clean them up. They kill any vegetation around the area and destroy the soil’s PH. It hinders grass growth, too. To get back that grass, you have to either cut down the tree and/or replace the soil with good soil and plant sod or grass seed. The best solution is to get rid of the tree. They get pine cones and needles everywhere. I had one and got rid of it. The grass still does not grow right from it. Anyway, I digress. Let’s get on with the weather.

Sunday Weather Forecast

Tonday’s weather will be wet over the next 24 hours. Models are showing we could get a decent soaking, so if you were planning on doing any yard work, you have till about 2 pm to do that. It does show rain upon us by 3 pm today. You may hear a rumble or two of thunder while this system moves through the area. The Storm Prediction Center still shows just a chance of non-severe thunderstorms, which is to be expected since we are out of our peak season. Rain amounts are looking to be somewhere around half an inch to an inch for the Jackson County area. Rain amounts are much harder to get than snow amounts. We will reach to about 63° by 1 pm.

Current Weather

Our current temperature sits at 41° F. The barometric pressure is at 29.82 inches of mercury, humidity is at 73% Relative and skies are mostly clear since I see a few light clouds in the sky.

Space Weather

Sun activity is pretty minimal and quiet. We thought it was goung to go spotless for the first time in Solar Cycle 25, but that proved to be wrong and 3489 showed up. Looking at today’s image from Space Weather Live, we have two more sun spots that popped up ont he weatern hemisphere 2490 and 2491. That small coronal hole is slowly making its way acrossed the equator and is now passing through the eastern hemisphere. We do have an earth directed solar storm from a filliment on the 15th and should be here by Monday. We may have an increase of sunspot and solar activity.

That is pretty much it for today. Enjoy your day today.

Sunday November 12, 2023 Weather Forecast

Good morning. This is the weather forecast and weather observations for today as of Sunday, November 12, 2023, as of 07:44 a.m. I am sitting here and looking outside; the sun shines, and the skies are clear. The temperature is at 38.4° and falling. The pressure is at 30.17 inches of mercury and steady.

I am looking at the light intensity chart over the past 31 days. We are still on a trending decline. What does this mean? It means we will continue to get colder.

Today’s Forecast. We may reach about 65° today; the dew point will only reach to about 40° by 6 pm. Winds may peak at about 19 to 20 mph or 17 knots by noon today.

Sunday Forecast HRRR Model at 3 pm CST 9pm UTC
HRRR Model at 3 pm CST 9pm UTC
HRRR Model Wind Gusts at noon CST or 6pm UTC.
HRRR Model Wind Gusts at noon CST or 6pm UTC.

According to Space Weather Live, the sun is still pretty sparse when it comes to sunspots. We do have a sunspot (3486) that popped up in the mid-part of the sun. Still do not see anything from the left. Sunspots look to be down from yesterday’s post of 6 sunspots. We only have 5 currently.

That is about it for the Sunday forecast today. Looks to be pretty uneventful from the weather.

Morning Observations / Forecast December 18 2022

Good morning. We have winter weather approaching us over the next 24 hours or so. Today’s observation as of 07:24 am shows the current temperature of 12 degrees with a pressure of 30.31 inches and steady. Winds are at zero. The relative humidity is 82%, with a dew point of 10 degrees. The air is arid. The skies are clear. I reported a trace of snow from the very light spitting of flurries yesterday with no accumulation.

Today’s Forecast is pretty uneventful. The temperature today will be a high of 37 degrees, give or take, by 3 pm. Winds will be calm today and less than ten miles per hour. Skies will clear up until about 4 pm and shift to overcast.

HRRR Temperature 3 pm.
Cloud Cover at 4 pm.

Here is an update on the winter weather approaching us this week. It looks like there may be two rounds of snow this week. The first round looks to arrive around 6 am for GFS, 7 am for RAP, and 9 am for NAM Monday, and it seems like straight snow with no transitions. Snow amounts show about a 50 percent chance of 1 inch or greater. Based on the WPC and the model’s accuracy, my determination is that it will be less than an inch unless something changes. The National Weather Service says 1 inch for the Blue Springs area. Some parts of Jackson County may see 1 inch of snow. The start time depends on which long-range model you look at. We will find a better accurate start time this evening as HRRR comes into view for tomorrow morning.

GFS 7 am Monday
RAP 8 am Monday
NAM 9 am Monday
WPC Snow Probabilities for Jackson County and Blue Springs area.

The temperature looks to reach about 38 degrees by 3 pm Monday. So there is a good chance that the snow will be mostly melted by the end of the day on Monday if it holds out. The GFS model shows a slightly lower temperature at 34 degrees. Again, we will get a better and more accurate reading this evening. Keep watching Facebook.

MODEL DISCUSSION

Models don’t show a whole lot up through Wednesday. Monday November 11th is flip-flopping. Currently model show nothing in our area, but it is around the other counties. I still will keep an eye on that day in case things change. With it being so far ahead it doesn’t surprise me that the models are doing that. Wednesday November 13th we have a fairly large system the starts out as rain throughout the entire day and into Thursday morning. Then the system shifts to ice by 7am and Snow by 4pm. This is another system that we need to keep an eye on.

That is about it for today. Enjoy your day of worship if that is what you do. May the Lord Jesus Christ speak to you and radically change your life. Be safe out there.

October 27th 2019 Forecast

Good morning Blue Springs! Happy Sunday.Heavy dew on the rain gauge this morning. We had the fireplace cleaned out and the chimney checked over yesterday. Change my wife’s oil. Got the generator out and tested it, added some fuel stabilizer to the fuel. Put up a few Halloween decorations. Though I think they will be buried in the snow on the 31st. We may end up with candy left over, if we ever get any trick-or-treaters. It is going to be a very cold day on the 31st.

CURRENT TEMPERATURE

Current temperature 40.8°. We had a high of 58 and a low of 35.8 over the past 24 hours. Barometric pressure is 1009 and Rising. Relative humidity 99%. Winds are at 0 gusting to 2 out of the south-southwest. Dew point temperature 38°. Feels like 36°. No precipitation to report.

Tuesday evening, temperatures in the low 30s. Chance of precipitation 49%. Dew point temperature in the low 30s. Skies will be cloudy.

MODEL DISCUSSION

Lots of things going on in the models this coming week. Starting with tonight we have a small system that will be coming in by about 9pm bringing some Trace rain, increasing throughout the day Monday and into Tuesday morning. There could be a possible rain snow mix around 10pm Monday. The entire system should end by about 4am Tuesday morning. Another system kicks back up about 1am Wednesday morning, with a possible mix of rain and snow starting off. Then a bout of ice at about 10pm Wednesday night then shifting over to snow throughout the day Halloween. It also looks like temperatures will not reach above upper thirties throughout the day. Temperatures really start to tank as the sun goes down, with temperatures dipping to the low 20s. Snow accumulations are still pretty weird and I don’t trust them. Once again they are showing 6 to 7 inches of snow in our area. It is still really too far out anyways. models are staying pretty consistent that we are going to get some snow.

I would at least have some calcium chloride and your snow shovel and or snowblower ready and easily accessed. If you have a fireplace make sure you got plenty of wood, because it looks like we will be in winter temperatures sooner than expected.

have a great day of worship if that’s what you do. Enjoy your day today and be careful.

MODEL DISCUSSUSION

Looking at models today, start time for this evenings weather will be around 7pm for Jackson County and about 10pm or so for Blue Springs. Looks like it may start off as a Trace and then increase from there. In time will be about 4am Monday maybe a little after for the major part of the rain. It may missed or sprinkle after that for a short time. Thursday October 24th is going to be a very wet day. This system will start off as Trace rain by 10pm on Wednesday, then increase as the hours progress. Stop time will be around 10pm Thursday evening give or take. I’ll have more details about that as we progressed through the week. That snow I was talking about yesterday has been removed from the forecast at this time. That does not mean that it won’t come back through the models. We will just have to keep an eye on it as the days progress. As for October 30th and 31st, that too will be a wet day through the evening hours of Halloween. Snow has been removed at this time, but it is still too early to tell. Currently it shows snow in Kansas west of Johnson County.
