MODEL DISCUSSION

Model show rain possible after 10pm tonight, ending by 7 or 8am Friday morning. Another round of rain possible by 7am Saturday morning, Ending by 4pm that afternoon. Rain amounts for both days are less than a .10 inches over a 6 hour accumulation time frame, which tells me it’s not going to be too heavy. Sunday morning at 10am has a trace of rain possible. As for snow, there is still a possible chance around 7pm or there after on Monday evening. Snow amounts have been reduced to a Trace to even no snow at all depending on which method you use. If you have been following my page for any length of time you notice that the initial amounts were huge and then it reduces down and stabilizes to a more accurate amount. This was why we should never go crazy when the weather media says something is going to happen a week out and they say it’s going to be terrible. Always wait within a 24-hour time span and you should get a good idea of what’s going to happen. Even then, it could change at a moment’s notice. Especially in the winter time and the fall. I am not sure why, but it seems that weather changes more frequently than it does in the summer and spring.

That is about it. Have a safe trip to and from work, and enjoy your day. As always, I’m available to chat if you are having a bad day I actually enjoy talking with you all.

MODEL DISCUSSION

Currently models show a start time for precipitation about 1am Saturday morning. It should come to an end about 9am. The GFS model chose a start time around 2am in the morning, and continuing up until 4pm. Will get a more accurate time frame the day before or the day of. Another round of rain is possible starting around 4pm Sunday, ending by 1am Monday. Looks like we will have a cold front come in on October 25th. It will be 38° by 7am.
It looks like towards the end of the month, there is a substantial cold front moving in causing temperatures in the morning hours to be in the upper 30s. Temperatures will drop into the low 30s by October 29th with 40s during the day. October 30 drops into the twenties in the morning. Then low 30s in the morning of October 31st and temperatures in the upper 40s during the day into the evening.

Remember I talked about October 20th having snow? It is no longer in the forecast. Once again that’s tells you how quickly models can change from day-to-day. This gives you a good idea from a news media standpoint, that models are not reliable, until about the day of. Taking this into consideration, the hype of the weather from the media can be ignored. You do not need to have a degree to look at weather models. Maybe in the near future I will do a video series on how you can do your own predictions and weather readings so you too can be set free from the weather media hype. It is truly really easy to do.

That is about it today. Have a safe trip to work. Enjoy your Thursday.

MODEL DISCUSSION

Today’s models show rain throughout the day today off and on. Systems should move out by 4pm tonight. Interesting to note, looks like Kansas make it a little bit of snow. Pretty sure it will change quite a bit as we approach Friday.

That is pretty much it for today. Have a safe have a safe trip to work. You may. You may want a light jacket for tonight for tonight. Be safe driving home.
